The FreeStyle Libre 2 Sensor offers continuous glucose measurement without routine fingersticks and adds optional Bluetooth-enabled alerts for high, low, and urgent-low glucose. The sensor is worn on the back of the upper arm and continuously measures glucose in the interstitial fluid, storing readings automatically.
You can view glucose levels, trend arrows, and 8-hour history by scanning the sensor with your FreeStyle Libre 2 reader or compatible smartphone app. The addition of real-time alarms helps users stay ahead of unexpected glucose changes — even without scanning.
The sensor is small, discreet, water-resistant, and designed to stay in place throughout normal daily activities like showering, exercising, and sleeping. It is easy to apply with the included one-piece applicator and provides up to 14 days of continuous glucose monitoring.
Important: Always follow Abbott’s instructions for sensor application and use. If glucose readings do not match symptoms, verify with a blood glucose meter before making treatment decisions.
