The Dexcom G6 CGM Sensor is a slim, disposable sensor for the Dexcom G6 Continuous Glucose Monitoring system. Once applied just under the skin, it works with your Dexcom G6 transmitter to track glucose levels day and night, sending updated readings to a compatible smart device or receiver every few minutes. This gives you a clearer picture of glucose trends, not just single snapshots.
Each sensor is factory-calibrated, so there’s no need for routine fingerstick calibrations. When paired correctly with your Dexcom G6 system, you can see real-time glucose readings, arrows showing whether levels are trending up or down, and alerts that can warn you about highs and lows. This helps you make more informed decisions about food, activity, and insulin—together with your healthcare team.
The one-button auto-applicator is designed to make insertion quick and straightforward. The sensor sits flat against the skin for comfortable wear under clothing and is built for everyday life, including work, school, sleep, and most regular activities. Each sensor is approved for up to 10 days of continuous wear, so a 3-pack can provide up to 30 days of monitoring when used back-to-back as directed.
