The Dexcom G7 Sensor combines the sensor and transmitter into a single, compact unit for continuous glucose monitoring. Once applied, it automatically sends glucose information at regular intervals to your paired smart device or Dexcom G7 Receiver, helping you see changes in glucose levels rather than relying on isolated fingerstick readings.Its low-profile design is made to be worn discreetly under clothing and stay in place through normal daily activities, including work, sleep, and light exercise. The G7 system is factory-calibrated, so routine fingerstick calibrations are not required, though a blood glucose meter should still be used when readings do not match how you feel. Insertion sites are specifically indicated for safe and accurate use: the back of the upper arm is approved for all users aged 2 years and older, with an additional option of the upper buttocks for children aged 2–6 years.
